Sunflower Cottage
Welcome to the Sunflower Cottage. Our mission is to promote the agrarian lifestyle through our garden center, demonstration gardens, working gardens, lunch-and-learn by appointment, and workshop series. We also provide wholesale herb and vegetable plants to other area garden centers and farm markets, so look for the Sunflower Cottage tag wherever you shop.
We know that you don't have to be a professional farmer to grow and cook from your garden. We also know that a shift back to the time when most households enjoyed raising their own herbs and vegetables has begun and is in fact practical and necessary.
Whether you live in the country, a sub-division or an apartment, you can benefit by learning simple ways to grow and include your own home grown crops in your favorite recipes.

September 27th and 28th – Customer Appreciation weekend. All nursery stock will be 20% to 60% off. There will be music, free food and drink, wine tasting, farm market, mums, pumpkins and pansies.
October 4th – Scarecrow workshop 1:00 to 4:00 Cost $20.00 Reservations required. Bring the kids!
October 11th -- 12:00 Herbal Soap Making with Sondra Johnson of Nature’s Common Scents. Lunch included. Cost $20.00. Reservations required .
October 18th – Pumpkin Carving 1:00 to 5:00 Bring your favorite trick or treater and leave with a jack-o-lantern that’ll be the envy of your neighborhood.
October 25th – Halloween Cookie class 1:00 Lunch included. Festive cookie recipes and each participant will make a haunted gingerbread house cookie to take home. Kids welcome.
